In My Mailbox (Nov. 7, 2010)

The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.

I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the cool books everyone gets. You will discover lots of wonderful blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.

I tried to show some restraint this week after last week's overindulgence. You can judge if I was successful.
I love Nora Roberts and had to have these two new ones which immediately moved to the top of my TBR stack.

Happy Ever After by Nora Roberts is the final book in the Brides Quartet. These very traditional romances are vintage Nora. The men and women are strong, independent characters who need the other to enhance their life.

Indulgence in Death by J. D. Robb is the 38th in the In Death series. It is always wonderful to catch up with Eve and Roarke (who may be romance's hottest hero).
Play of Passion by Nalini Singh is the next book in her Psi-Changeling series. I have found all of the rest of them very satisfying paranormal romance with a hint of mystery and intrigue for added flavor.

Wolfsbane by Patricia Briggs is the sequel to Masques (her first book) which is sitting on my TBR stack. I like Ms. Briggs style and look forward to reading this one.
Prince Charming Doesn't Live Here by Christine Warren is the next her her Others series. This is another entertaining paranormal series.

Carousel Tides by Sharon Lee is by one of my favorite authors. I love the Liaden Universe books she writes with her husband Steve Miller. This is an urban fantasy adventure that takes place in coastal Maine. I enjoyed it very much. You can see my review here.
I was contacted by the author of The Second Coming and asked if I would review the book. David H. Burton sent me an ebook for my Kindle when I said that I would. The blurb sounded interesting to me.

That is my mailbox this week. I am rather proud of myself because I have already read two of my new books. What landed in yours?

  1. I had to buy Happy Ever After this week, too. I'm so excited it finally came out, but am bummed that this is the last in the series.

  4. I want to start the Nalini Singh series but just don't have the time at the moment to start a new series like that. I've heard SOO many good things about it though so I do look forward to finally being able to start it. Happy reading!
