It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.
I will be combining my YA and adult reading and purchases on this one weekly roundup.
Other Than Reading...
This was another quiet week with lots of reading and blogging. I set up all my posts for March which meant I decided what I wanted to read around the various March review book releases. I made sure to choose a book that has been languishing on TBR mountain for a long time and a new arrival on TBR mountain along with a sprinkling of audiobooks. Of course, everything but the review books are subject to change.
I also spent some time this week on the phone setting up doctor's appointments in February. Time for my annual mammogram! Also I couldn't put off my colonoscopy any longer and scheduled that too. February also sees my annual wellness visit to my Primary Care Doctor.
January Reading
As of noon on January 30, I've read 27 books. Sixteen of the books were mine and 15 of those were audiobooks. I also read 11 review books this month.
I added 54 new books and audiobooks to my TBR mountain this month. I read only one of them in January. A number of the books I added were books that I already owned in print. I added the audiobooks and often the Kindle because I want to reread them. I added 21 audiobooks to my collection but only eight are books I've never read. All of the other books I added were Kindle books including 13 new Review books.

Read Last Week
If you can't wait until the review shows up on my blog, reviews are posted to LibraryThing and Goodreads as soon as I write them (usually right after I finish reading a book.)
- Etched in Bone (Mine; Audiobook) -- This is a reread of the fifth book of The Others series. My first reread of this series in 2021 although I've read and reread the series about 20 times.
- The Russian Cage by Charlaine Harris (Review; Feb. 23) -- This is the third book in the Gunnie Rose series which takes place in an alternate USA and has magic. My review will be posted on Feb. 16.
- Run, Hide, Fight Back by April Henry (Mine; Kindle with Audiobook add-on) -- This was an intense YA thriller about six teens caught in a Mall when it is taken over by domestic terrorists. My review will be posted on Feb. 20.
- Lies by Kylie Scott (Mine; Kindle Deal with Audiobook add-on) - This romantic suspense title was a recent addition to my stack of audiobooks. I liked the characters in this one. My review will be posted on Feb. 24.
- Quiet in Her Bones by Nalini Singh (Review; Feb. 23) - This contemporary thriller is set in New Zealand and was a exciting story. My review will be posted on Feb. 17.
- Hard Magic by Laura Anne Gilman (Mine; Audiobook) - This was a new discovery at Audible Plus of a book I first read in 2010. I enjoyed revisiting this urban fantasy world. My review will be posted on March 10.
- Dragonfly Girl by Marti Leimbach (Review; Feb. 23) - This was an excellent YA thriller set in the near future. It tells the story of high school scientific genius Kira Adams and what happens when she finds a way to defeat death. My review will be posted on Feb. 18.
- Every Last Fear by Alex Finlay (Review; March 2) - This was an excellent, couldn't-put-it-down thriller with all sorts of action and wonderful characters. My review will be posted on Feb. 23.
DNF
- Relative Fortunes by Marlowe Benn -- I listened to 3 hours and 10 minutes of this one before it actually got to the mystery. I couldn't deal with all the detail about lack of women's rights in the 1920s. I may continue on one day now that I'm hopefully finally getting to the good stuff.
- An Unexpected Peril by Deanna Raybourn (Review; March 2)
- Bad to the Bone by Jeri Smith-Ready (Mine since August 15, 2009)
- Heartbreak Bay by Rachel Caine (Review; March 9)
- The Windsor Knot by SJ Bennett (Review; March 9)
- Blood Heir by Ilona Andrews (Mine since Jan. 12, 2021)
- The Bone Maker by Sarah Beth Durst (Review; March 9)
- Spellmaker by Charlie N. Holmberg (Review; March 9)
- Cast in Flight by Michelle Sagara (Audiobook)
- Cocaine Blues by Kerry Greenwood (Audiobook)
