Stacking the Shelves (March 8, 2015)

Tynga of Team Tynga's Reviews has a meme to spotlight the books we receive each week. Visit her site to check out the linky and see what everyone gets. I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow.

Here is what I got this week:
Dark Debt by Chloe Neill was released this week. It is the eleventh book in her Chicagoland Vampires series.

Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs was also released this week. It is the fourth book in her Alpha & Omega series.
I read about Tiger Paw by Charles A Cornell on one of the blogs I visited this week and thought it sounded good. I was an inexpensive Kindle book. So I bought a copy of this thriller with a paranormal twist.

The Stag Lord by Darby Kaye was a Kindle Daily Deal this week. I had read a review copy but was very excited to get a finished copy for my Kindle. I like all of her books - middle grade, high school, and adult. They all share the same world and mythology.
I think I found the book Clockwork Heart by Dru Pagliassotti on a list Gail Carriger created about books she felt were often overlooked. I had read most of the list but this one was new to me.

I also received a copy of The Mystery Writers of America Cookbook: Wickedly Good Meals and Desserts to Die For edited by Kate White. I don't cook very often but I do enjoy reading cookbooks and this was a nice one. The recipes ranged from the simple to the complex as is often this case when a variety of people are contributing. I liked the author's notes about each recipe.

What did you get this week?

  3. Dead Heat was good, despite its inaccuracies. The Stag Lord has an interesting cover; I haven't heard of the author before but I'll have to check her out.
