Stacking the Shelves (Sept. 23, 2012)

Tynga of Tynga's Reviews has a meme to spotlight the books we receive each week. Visit her site to check out the linky and see what everyone gets. I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow.

This week I got a bunch of new books.
I started the week by adding a couple of books to my Kindle. The Rancher and the Rock Star by Lizbeth Selvig was on sale for $.99 and sounded like a good romance. What I Did for a Duke by Julie Anne Long was also on sale for $.99. I just can't resist a bargain in the genres I like.
And still more bargains... I visited Amazon Marketplace to get a hardcover copy of A Perfect Blood by Kim Harrison. While I am a few books behind in the series, I do plan to catch up someday and want an edition that matches my other books. I got Curiosity Thrilled the Cat by Sofie Kelly from PaperbackBookSwap primarily to test out the service. I have been curious about this cozy mystery series.
While I am not a big fan of anthologies, I couldn't pass up Hex Appeal because it contains stories by some of my favorite urban fantasy authors. I also read about a new urban fantasy series and had to get Full Blooded by Amanda Carlson to try it out.
Finally, at the end of the week, I was surprised to receive The Demoness of Waking Dreams by Stephanie Chong in my mailbox. This is an unsolicited finished copy that I received for review. I don't remember seeing anything about this book but it sounds like something I could enjoy.

What did you get this week to add to the stack on your shelves?

  2. Have you just signed up for Paperbackswap? I've been using it for 2 years now and it is full of awesomesauce. Plus, I always feel virtuous when I ship out a book, like I've actually done something to reduce my book pile (I totally ignore the fact that more books out will ultimately mean more books in, LOL). Also, I love to imagine the squee at the other end when the receiver gets the book I've sent.
