It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (June 9, 2014)

It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

It’s Monday!  What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week.  It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

I'm home! I got to my summer home Sunday afternoon and managed to time it just right. My brother was home to help me unload by fully packed car.

Last week was busy and I added to the excitement by developing some sort of sinus thing that had me coughing, sneezing and dealing with a runny nose all week. It also really wiped me out. I was taking naps after school each day. It is hard to pack and get organized when napping. However, I did finally finish everything up and take off just one day later than I had planned.

Read Last Week

Last week was a nice mix of review books and books from my own TBR mountain.
The Things You Kiss Goodbye by Leslie Connor was a engaging young adult contemporary romance that was also a tear-jerker. My review will be posted on June 21.

Dragon Ship by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller was the 4th book in the Theo Waitley arc of the Liaden Universe stories. I can't wait for more books to be written in the series. I need to know what happens next.
The Vanishing Season by Jodi Lynn Anderson was a young adult contemporary with elements of ghost stories and murder mysteries. It didn't go where I thought it was going to go but I enjoyed it. My review will be posted on June 26.

Skin Game by Jim Butcher is the latest in the Dresden Files series. I really like this urban fantasy series because it contains such great characters. This one was excellent. My review will be posted on June 26.
A friend lent me The Mark of the Tala by Jeffe Kennedy because she enjoyed it so much. I also thought this was an entertaining fantasy story with an engaging main character. My review will be posted on June 25.

On the Fence by Kasie West was a wonderful contemporary young adult romance about a tomboy and the boy next door. It had great characters and a wonderful romance. My review will be posted on June 28.

Currently
Kendra Elliot sent me a copy of her most recent romantic suspense title. Vanished will be released on June 17. I started it last night and didn't want to put it down. The emotions surrounding a child kidnapping are so intense!

Next Week

Here are the review books that are on my stack for next week.
Straddling the Line by Jaci Burton
Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne
Wild by Alex Mallory

After I finish those, I'll be digging into the two very large bags of books I brought home from my TBR shelves to see what catches my eye.

  13. Interesting covers even though I don't read this genre.

Have a wonderful reading week. Looks like it will be good for you.

I wish the weather would cooperate around here. One day it is in the 80's and the next day it is raining and chilly. I like to read outside but can't when it isn't warm. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.
