Summer Reading Pile

So, last week I talked about my out-of-control TBR pile and even showed pictures. This week I want to show you which ones I decided to take home with me for summer reading. There really isn't any rhyme of reason to the way I chose these. They are just the ones that looked good when I was packing the bag.

Here are my picks in order of the date I added them to my TBR mountain.
Here I Stay by Barbara Michaels (5/8/2008)
Immortal Danger by Cynthia Eden (4/6/2009)
Pray for Silence by Linda Castillo (10/5/2010)
The Weight of Stone by Laura Anne Gilman (10/18/2010)
Dead or Alive by Tom Clancy (12/7/2010)
Chasing the Night by Iris Johansen (4/21/2011)
Mercy Burns by Keri Arthur (4/21/2011)
Hounded by Kevin Hearne (5/3/2011)
Thorn Queen by Richelle Mead (5/23/2011)
Iron Crowned by Richelle Mead (5/25/2011)
Hexed by Kevin Hearne (6/7/2011)
Hammered by Kevin Hearne (7/7/2011)
The President's Vampire by Christopher Farnsworth (9/9/2011)
Darkness Unbound by Keri Arthur (9/27/2011)
Eve by Iris Johansen (10/4/2011)
The Shattered Vine by Laura Anne Gilman (10/26/2011)
Locked On by Tom Clancy (12/19/2011)
Angels' Flight by Nalini Singh (2/29/2012)
Mercy Kill by Lori Armstrong (2/29/2012)
Books Can Be Deceiving by Jen McKinlay (3/2/2012)
Bonnie by Iris Johansen (5/9/2012)
Quinn by Iris Johansen (5/9/2012)
Howl for It by Shelly Laurenston & Cynthia Eden (8/29/2012)
Steel's Edge by Ilona Andrews (11/27/2012)
Collared by L. A. Kornetsky (1/3/2013)
Eight Million Gods by Wen Spencer (6/8/2013)
The Professionals by Own Laukkanen (2/3/2104)
The Heist by Janet Evanovich & Lee Goldberg (2/25/2014)
Melting the Ice by Jaci Burton (3/3/2014)

A lot of these are second books in series. I read the first one before I added the second book to the stack and am going to give the second or third, etc. a try without re-reading the earlier books. Some of these are also beginnings of longer series. I am going to try to stop the series after these. Remember, my goal is to get things off my TBR Pile. I don't want to just exchange one book for another.

Wish me luck!
