It had been a second home to her for as long as she could remember. Now, of course, it was home. And that lovely house stood only a quick call from the pool house and guest house where her friends lived and worked.

ReplyDeleteI read one Nora Roberts book once and enjoyed it. Not great, not bad, just a book if you know what I mean. Can't remember what it's called.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I don't know what a fondant is!
I just got done reading this one...I downloaded it onto my nook on tuesday and started it on my lunch break wednesday morning (I work 3rd shift) and finished it by wednesday afternoon. I can hardly wait until Parker's story comes out in NOVEMBER, which seems like a lifetime away!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. It sets the tone and place.
ReplyDeleteHere is my BBF :)
Good first sentence. I love the cover. I hope you enjoy your book. I read Vision in White but didn't really care for the main character. I did like Laurel so maybe I will have to give this one a try sometime.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe I've ever read a Nora Roberts book. If I did, it was many years ago. Not sure why . . . I've just never gotten into her work, I guess.
