Stacking the Shelves (August 12, 2012)

Tynga of Tynga's Reviews has a meme to spotlight the books we receive each week. Visit her site to check out the linky and see what everyone gets. I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow.

I got an interesting variety of books this week.

For review:
Line of Fire by Stephen White - I received this one from Cassandra at Dutton Books. This is a thriller and the first of a two-part conclusion to his long-running series. It will also be the first in the series that I have read. The book was published on Aug. 7. I plan to review it the week of Sept. 10.

Gold by Chris Cleave was an Amazon Vine pick. I haven't read anything by this author but I thought the sports theme fit in with the current Olympics. This one was published July 3.

I got these next books because, when I read a book in a series that I enjoy, I want to collect the complete series. So I added:
On the Fifth Day by A. J. Hartley and The Mask of Atreus by A. J. Hartley because they also feature the same main character as Tears of the Jaguar which I recently read.
I also recently read the most recent book in the Monkeewrench series by P. J. Tracy and set about finding the previous five books. The last two to arrive were Snow Blind and Shoot to Thrill.

These books also arrived this week:
I attended an author signing and got an autographed copy of Precinct 13 by Tate Hallway. This is the first book in a new urban fantasy series that takes place in South Dakota.

Shadow of the Sun by Laura Kreitzer was free for the Kindle this week. This one is a paranormal and the first book in her Timeless series.
I also got Stygian's Honor by Lora Leigh which is the latest in her Breeds series and Biting Cold by Chloe Neill which is the latest in her Chicagoland Vampires series.

That is what I added to my shelf this week. What did you add to yours?

  1. These are all new-to-me books. I read some of the very early Breeds stories, and really enjoyed them. Good to see the series continues!
