Stacking the Shelves (March 3, 2013)

Tynga of Tynga's Reviews has a meme to spotlight the books we receive each week. Visit her site to check out the linky and see what everyone gets. I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow.

Here are the new review books I have added to my stack:
Aberration by Lisa Regan was pitched to me by the author last October. Finally, on Thursday last week, the PR person from the publisher sent me a Kindle copy. This one won't be published until June. It sounds like a good thriller.

Behind the Lies by Robin Perini was on of my Amazon Vine picks this month. This romantic suspense/thriller will be published on April 23.
I got a copy of The Best Man by Kristan Higgins this week when the publicist emailed me to confirm my date on the blog tour. It wasn't on my calendar because I had never heard back from the publicist after agreeing to be on the tour. It is on my calendar NOW. The book was released on Feb. 26. My review is scheduled for March 14.

The Last Girl by Jane Casey was sent to me by St. Martin's Press via NetGalley. It sounded like a spine-chilling thriller. It will be released on May 21. This book is the third in a series but I am told it stands alone well.

Here are the books I bought:
I took advantage of a couple of bargains at Amazon for my Kindle. Death Is Forever by Elizabeth Lowell is a rewrite of a 1993 book I have on my stack. Mr. Real by Carolyn Crane sounded like an interesting romance complete with fantasy men becoming real.
Calculated in Death by J. D. Robb was a must-buy for me. I love the relationship between Eve and Roarke and had to get the book as soon as it was published.

Necessity's Child by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller was the Kindle version of the book I already own in hardcover. I like to re-read the Liaden Universe books and wanted the convenience of having it on my Kindle as well as on my shelves. I miss being able to buy ebooks at Baen Books for $5 but like the convenience of buying my books at Amazon enough to pay the extra $5.

What did you add to your stack this week?
