Beginning:

I'd never seen an angry hobgoblin before. 

If this one wasn't my friend, it might've been funny. Tobble was red in the face before I noticed him in the grass by the garden wall, and since hobgoblins have green skin, that in itself was quite a feat.

Friday 56:

The horse's neck was not the only thing the gryphon's talons had raked. Anjey's sleeve was torn open and four lacerations ran lengthwise across her forearm. They were bleeding heavily, soaking the front of her shirt.

This week I am spotlighting Heartstone by Elle Katherine White. I read this one years ago but a recent sale at Chirp made me want to reread the story. Note: I hadn't read Pride & Prejudice before I read this the first time and I've still not read Pride & Prejudice. Here is the description from Amazon:
