ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping it fresh after a month on tour:)

Amazing creativity. Reminds me of the pink church in Ireland.

That's a fun video! I've been curious to learn more about the church since reading The Red Church.
ReplyDeleteI really dig a video blog post. That was very cool Scott. It was interesting to see the actual church you based The Red Church on (which was the first novel of yours I purchased on a whim from Barnes & Noble many years ago.
ReplyDeletecalseeor (at) gmail (dot) com
Scott? Scott? Scott?! OMG, it got him. Where am I going to get my books now? I just finished rereading The Red Church about the third time. If you only get one of his books, you should get this one. It's not only spooky and scary, it is also a story about family, community, and the dangerous lure religious fanatics can have on their unsuspecting victims. Perfect read for October. Wooohooo!

I bought 4 of your books today to help get your sales number up. Now to get the kindle rather than reading off my phone!

Such pretty spots those churches are located on.

I loved the video! That was great! I'm going to buy at least The Red Church today but like someone else said, now I need a kindle cause reading off my phone is not so much fun!

Did you use the preacher's real name? If he would need a reason to "come back and GET you," that would be it! You must be a brave soul. I'd worry about his relatives, too. We're talkin' about the mountains aren't we. I have the book on my Kindle already, but I haven't read it yet. I've even started reading some of my favorite Christmas books already, I need to read "The Red Church" soon to see if I will have yearly Halloween favorites to start reading in July.
ReplyDeleteI like the variation in formats in your blog posts so far.
Thank you Kathy for hosting Scott's tour today.

ReplyDeleteHilarious video - thanks!

Funny video, it's great to see the humor in person, not just on the page. Thanks for letting us see the actual Red Church. And I bought another copy of the Red Church plus 4 other books of yours from amazon.com today.
ReplyDeleteScott fall down. Nice to see the actual red church.

I'm getting a copy of The Red Church, I want to know why they follow him to the river- a little late for a baptism I would think.
ReplyDeletewaitmantwillie at hotmail dot com
thanks, everyone, as of 1 pm The Red Church is at #931, so please tweet it up and let's see what happens. We had to rush the video a little and didn't have a tripod with us--we'll do better at Cone Manor and Green Park Inn! Girl did a great job on the "face rush" though!
ReplyDeleteScott
Happy Release Day Scott.

Looks like you're having fun with this tour and I'm definitely having fun watching and reading your posts.
ReplyDeletejessangil@gmail.com
Well, too bad the video ended when it did---just when some angry goat farmer was about to whomp on your crazy hillbilly *ss. He probably noted you eyeing his flock... Or had you already visited them on the way to the church (which has been forever desecrated by your presence, no doubt)?
ReplyDeleteSo, you are going to visit the inspirations for "The Manor"/"Creative Spirit" and "Speed Dating with the Dead", huh? When are you going to visit the goat farm where you did the hours and hours and HOURS of research for "The Farm"??? It's strange, but you kept going back to that farm for more research even after the book was done and in the hands of the publisher. In fact, you still go back to "do research" there---even now that the book is out of print. Jinkies! I guess you like to be (ahem!) "thorough"???
I'm looking forward to the next video blog---especially if you accidentally add the WRONG video and post one of your naughty private homemade goat sex porn tapes by mistake. Talk about creepy/scary! EEEK! That would take the cake.
Hey, now that your face and voice are out there--has Hollywood called? (I'm sure you are breathlessly waiting by the phone even now...). Keep waiting (and waiting and waiting and waiting...)
Cheers!
PS Is there any correlation between the name of this blog ("Inside of a Dog") and your career? Just asking! Ha! :)
ReplyDelete(You'd think you'd post on "Sexy Goats.com" or something instead...)
Another day another post and then another comment :D

ReplyDeleteHmm Monster off now to start the "Inside of a Goat" blog! Careful or I will publish the picture of you holding my tooth!
Linegeorge--you can get the free Kindle for PC at Amazon and get any Kindle book--there are lots of free ones and cheap ones. And it gives you an idea of what the real thing is like (without the portability)
Scott
I read and reviewed this book a while back--very creepy read!
ReplyDeleteMore spine tinglers!
ReplyDeletecolljerr at comcast dot net
I once enjoyed going to the NC mountains, but now I'm not so sure I want to visit any more!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Christa's sentiments above. THE RED CHURCH is a great place to start if you've never read anything by Scott. I loved it so much, I've got two physical copies and two digital copies!

Liked the video.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a ghost story to get the Halloween season going. Best of luck with it, Scott!
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Scott!
ReplyDeleteHope to get up there myself one weekend. Maybe do a college film project there, get lost in the woods, videotape snot running out my nose, get hoo-dooed by some freaky witch-thing and hope that the video tapes are found years later.
A guys gotta dream you know.
Scott, too!
scot, please do me a favor and recommend one of your books that is a good read but not designed to scare the daylights out of me! spvaughan@yahoo.com
