I am proud to be a stop on Scott Nicholson's blog tour. He sent me a video to share with you all today.

He also sent this text.

Scott Nicholson is author of 12 novels, including the thrillers Speed Dating with the Dead, Drummer Boy, Forever Never Ends, The Skull Ring, As I Die Lying, Burial to Follow ,and They Hunger. His revised novels for the U.K. Kindle are Creative Spirit, Troubled, and Solom. He’s also written four comic series, six screenplays, and more than 60 short stories. His story collections include Ashes, The First, Murdermouth: Zombie Bits, and Flowers.

To be eligible for the Kindle DX, simply post a comment below with contact info. Feel free to debate and discuss the topic, but you will only be entered once per blog. Visit all the blogs on the tour and increase your odds. I’m also giving away a Kindle 3 through the tour newsletter and a Pandora’s Box of free e-books to a follower of “hauntedcomputer” on Twitter. Thanks for playing. Complete details at http://www.hauntedcomputer.com/blogtour.htm
This book sounds perfectly scary. It would be just the thing to read in October to get yourself ready for Halloween.

Be sure to check out the schedule on Scott's website so that you can increase your chances of winning a new Kindle 3 by visiting more of the blogs that he will be visiting.

Good luck and happy reading!

  1. Oh no! Is there still a tour and kindle giveaway since something got Scott at the church?

Thanks for keeping it fresh after a month on tour:)

  3. That's a fun video! I've been curious to learn more about the church since reading The Red Church.

  4. I really dig a video blog post. That was very cool Scott. It was interesting to see the actual church you based The Red Church on (which was the first novel of yours I purchased on a whim from Barnes & Noble many years ago.

  5. Scott? Scott? Scott?! OMG, it got him. Where am I going to get my books now? I just finished rereading The Red Church about the third time. If you only get one of his books, you should get this one. It's not only spooky and scary, it is also a story about family, community, and the dangerous lure religious fanatics can have on their unsuspecting victims. Perfect read for October. Wooohooo!

  9. Did you use the preacher's real name? If he would need a reason to "come back and GET you," that would be it! You must be a brave soul. I'd worry about his relatives, too. We're talkin' about the mountains aren't we. I have the book on my Kindle already, but I haven't read it yet. I've even started reading some of my favorite Christmas books already, I need to read "The Red Church" soon to see if I will have yearly Halloween favorites to start reading in July.
I like the variation in formats in your blog posts so far.
Thank you Kathy for hosting Scott's tour today.

  29. Well, too bad the video ended when it did---just when some angry goat farmer was about to whomp on your crazy hillbilly *ss. He probably noted you eyeing his flock... Or had you already visited them on the way to the church (which has been forever desecrated by your presence, no doubt)?

So, you are going to visit the inspirations for "The Manor"/"Creative Spirit" and "Speed Dating with the Dead", huh? When are you going to visit the goat farm where you did the hours and hours and HOURS of research for "The Farm"??? It's strange, but you kept going back to that farm for more research even after the book was done and in the hands of the publisher. In fact, you still go back to "do research" there---even now that the book is out of print. Jinkies! I guess you like to be (ahem!) "thorough"???

I'm looking forward to the next video blog---especially if you accidentally add the WRONG video and post one of your naughty private homemade goat sex porn tapes by mistake. Talk about creepy/scary! EEEK! That would take the cake.

Hey, now that your face and voice are out there--has Hollywood called? (I'm sure you are breathlessly waiting by the phone even now...). Keep waiting (and waiting and waiting and waiting...)

    Cheers!

  30. PS Is there any correlation between the name of this blog ("Inside of a Dog") and your career? Just asking! Ha! :)

Hmm Monster off now to start the "Inside of a Goat" blog! Careful or I will publish the picture of you holding my tooth!

Linegeorge--you can get the free Kindle for PC at Amazon and get any Kindle book--there are lots of free ones and cheap ones. And it gives you an idea of what the real thing is like (without the portability)

Hope to get up there myself one weekend. Maybe do a college film project there, get lost in the woods, videotape snot running out my nose, get hoo-dooed by some freaky witch-thing and hope that the video tapes are found years later.

A guys gotta dream you know.
