In My Mailbox (April 17, 2011)

The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.

I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the wonderful books everyone gets. You will discover lots of great blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.

My week began slowly but the mailbox filled up at the end of the week.

I got these:
I am a big fan of Nora Roberts. Each of her new books automatically gets added to my reading stack. I am eager to start Chasing Fire.

After the Golden Age by Carrie Vaughn had an interesting premise. I like Carrie Vaughn's writing style and had to have this book too.
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen was an addition to my Kindle. I have heard so much about it and decided to buy a copy in case I get a chance to read it.

It Happened One Season is an anthology that is also historical fiction. I like the authors and wanted to see what this one was like.

I also added the Sharing Knife series by Lois McMaster Bujold to my Kindle. I have the hardcovers but wanted the books in a more portable format. The LMB mailing list is currently doing a read and discuss of this series and I have wanted to read them again to take part. They are deep into Beguilement now. The other titles are Legacy, Passage and Horizon. The are fantasy romances.

That was my haul this week. What did you get?

  4. Water for Elephants is worth making time for. I read it back in 2008 or 2009 for my bookclub and it was one of my favorite books that year.
