The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.
I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the cool books everyone gets. You will discover lots of wonderful blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.
I was excited to get these new books by some of my favorite authors:
The Search by Nora Roberts - I love her books and especially love it when she writes romantic suspense.
Discord's Apple by Carrie Vaughn - I like her Kitty books and I liked her new YA book. This standalone also sounded interesting.
Twice Bitten by Chloe Neill - I liked the first two in the Chicagoland Vampires series and want to catch up with Merit and company.
Bonds of Justice by Nalini Singh is the latest episode in the Psy-Changeling series. I know nothing more about it and don't need to in order to know it will be great.
I also heard good things about these books by authors new to me:
Dark Embers by Tessa Adams is the start of a new erotic paranormal series about dragons. And look at that cover!
Heartless by Anne Elisabeth Stengl was recommended by a friend who had read an ARC from the LibraryThing Early Reviewers and said she really liked it. It is a fantasy that also include dragons but I think these are scary rather than sexy.
I couldn't neglect my Kindle this week. I added these free books:
The Heir by Paul Robertson is a tale of intrigue and murder that got a starred review from Booklist but a considerably less glowing review from Publisher's Weekly. I'm eager to see what I think.
Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning is a paranormal suspense novel and the first in the Fever series. I have the book and have already ready it. I share my Kindle account with my friend Bev who is borrowing my second Kindle. She asked me to get this one for her.
I also got these because Bev asked me to:
Desire Unchained by Larissa Ione is the second book in her Demonica series.
Passion Unleashed by Larissa Ione is the third book in the Demonica series.
Ecstasy Unveiled is the fourth book in the Demonica series.
I already had Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione on the Kindle but she read it before I got a chance to. I'm glad she likes the series. That give me high hopes that I will too.
The Missing by Shiloh Walker has apparently been re-released. I have the print version but decided to buy the Kindle version so that I can read it this summer. This is paranormal romantic suspense which hits a lot of the genres I love.
Celestial Heat by Ali Atwood is an erotic futuristic romance that sounded interesting.
It may not look like it but I really am trying to limit the number of new books I add to my massive TBR stack. Five of them this week were either free or paid for by someone else. My biggest problem is trying to decide which one to read first. Luckily, I am taking part in the Once Upon a Time Read-a-thon from July 12-14 and will be blocking off lots of time to read.
What did you get this week?
