Stacking the Shelves (Oct. 12, 2014)

Tynga of Team Tynga's Reviews has a meme to spotlight the books we receive each week. Visit her site to check out the linky and see what everyone gets. I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow.

This week I added seven books to my TBR mountain.
I seldom read nonfiction but I got two this week.

The Hollywood Book of Death by James Parish was a Kindle Daily Deal. I have to catch up on all the good gossip.

For my cookbook collection I got The Skinnytaste Cookbook by Gina Homolka which got a great review. The pictures are gorgeous and the ingredients are things I have actually heard of. I haven't tried anything yet but I have a couple that I'll be trying soon.
A Call to Duty by David Weber and Timothy Zahn is the latest book in the science fiction Honorverse. I have read all the rest of the series and look forward to this one too.

Refining Felicity by M. C. Beaton was a Kindle Daily Deal this week. I had just commented on another blog that I had never read anything by this author. I had to get this one so that I could change that.
Closer to Home by Mercedes Lackey is also the latest entry into a science fiction series that I have been reading for years.

Unbinding by Eileen Wilks is another new entry into a series I really enjoy. This one is urban fantasy.
I received a copy of Otherworld Nights by Kelley Armstrong for review. This is the first of three collections of the rare short stories and novellas that are part of the Women of the Otherworld series. There are also some new stories included. This book will be released on October 28.

What did you add to your stack this week?
