It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.
I will be combining my YA and adult reading and purchases on this one weekly roundup. YA and middle grade reviews will still be posted on Ms. Martin Teaches Media - my other blog.
Other Than Reading...
The Locust Street house is getting closer to closing. Fingers crossed, the closing has been scheduled for Friday at 10 AM. This week saw more mold abatement and a new round of mold tests which, thankfully, came out clear.
My townhouse will be getting new carpeting this week and a minor price change in hopes that it will draw more interest and finally get sold.
The new house had landscaping done this week to deal with way overgrown shrubbery and to landscape around the new garage. We still need to find and hire someone to grind out the stumps of the trees that were removed near the new garage.
I've been watching The Voice and lots and lots of playoff baseball games. I also got a lot of reading done this week and some work on setting up posts on my blogs. I'm filling in my November calendar and have lots of empty spaces for books from my TBR mountains. I just have to choose which ones I feel like reading.

In Other Lands looks good. Sorry about the mold situation.
ReplyDeleteSo many good books! Enjoy your reading.
ReplyDeleteYou have a nice eclectic haul, and I'm so tempted to start the Eve Duncan series, as those books look very tempting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog. Good luck with the houses, and let's hope for a violence-free week!
Great news on your houses.
ReplyDeleteENJOY your books and reading week.
Elizabeth
I don't envy you work on the house...so much done and to be done. And trying to sell another?
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to try one of the Shakespeare in the Catskills books. I'll have to come back and read your review of Much Ado About Murder.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the houses. I love the covers of your books!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I enjoyed Blade Bound! Thought it was one of the best series enders I've read! Sooo excited for the spinoff series now! It's not even really goodbye at this point!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Monday Wrap-up
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I had no clue until today that you were Miss Martin! I love that blog. I have been more of a stalker on it!
ReplyDeleteI bet you are getting so much reading done now you are retired. It seems like your houses are taking up a lot of your time, though. Let's hope the old sells quickly.
ReplyDeleteHope everything going smoothly with both houses, though it sounds like you are making good progress on each of them to get them sold. I need to do some blog posts this week, but it's finding the motivation to do them that's been my issue, been putting some of them off for weeks already.
ReplyDeleteOo lots of fun looking books!! India Black and The Friday Society in particular grab my interest. I love steampunk stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm adding In Other Lands to my wishlist. Come see what I'm reading
ReplyDeleteHopefully soon your home will sell! I've been disappointed by the latest Eve Duncan books, but am sure I will give this one chance.
ReplyDeleteI think I have Fate in a box in the basement somewhere! I want to read the Chicagoland Vampires series. Lots of cute cozies you have there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier!
Your life sounds busy! Hope the closing went as scheduled.
ReplyDeleteI see we have some of the same books - although you got to Mind Games and The Collapsing Empire way before I will. :-)
You have some other titles I have eyed at NetGalley. I hope you enjoy them with Happy Reading!
