My Thoughts: This sweet and spicy romance was a very pleasant story to read. I liked the Lucinda's determination as she does what she feels necessary to save her home. Also, I don't think there could possibly be a hotter romantic hero than Lucien Brandford.
Their relationship gets off to a very rocky start when she kidnaps him. She wants to seduce him and have his baby. Her husband is old and ill and in danger from his greedy relatives. A baby will provide her husband an heir and will protect the estate that they both love. Her husband saved her when she was a needy child and she will do anything to protect him.
Lucinda is surprised by her feelings for Lucian. She hadn't thought that her emotions would become involved. Her plan didn't allow for any emotional involvement. The passion between them immediately ruins her well-planned scheme.
Lucian is reluctant at first to go along with her plans. However, he is soon convinced to do anything to help her. The love scenes are very hot. Readers will need the air conditioning on and an icy beverage to sip while reading them.
Fans of erotic romances will be very satisfied by this novella.
