Teaser Tuesday: Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser is from a book that has been calling to me from my TBR stack since the day it came in the mail -- Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris. I feel like I'm visiting an old friend every time I read one of the Sookie Stackhouse books.
In one of those awful moments you have at random, I realized that everyone I'd ever dated--though, granted, that was a short list--was a killer.
And so was I.

  1. Great teaser! I've only read the first two in this series, so I'm not familiar with all of her killer boyfriends! Here's my teaser from Blood Red Road.

  2. OOh now that was a great teaser!! Read this book not too long ago, it was all right! Hope you're liking it!

    Here's my teaser

  3. I have yet to read one of Harris' books, mainly because there are just so many in this series. One of these day I will though. Love the teaser.

  4. Awesome!

  5. Haven't heard great things about this Sookie book, but what a great teaser!

Here's my teaser for this week:

  6. That is a great quote from that book and yes a really scary thought. Then again it is Sookie LOL

  7. Great teaser!! I love Sookie, but am way behind on my reading. Here's my teaser for Aimee Carter's The Goddess Test: http://aturnofpage.blogspot.com/2011/05/teaser-tuesday-no-4.html.

  8. Now that is a frightening thought. My TT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2011/05/teaser-tuesdays-the-beach-trees.html

  9. that is a terrify thought. I read a book with this same title once. Kaye—the road goes ever ever on

  10. What a stunning realization! I have to read this book. Right after I read the one that came before it.
