It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

The countdown has started! 19 more student contact days this school year and 28 more calendar days until my last day of work before summer vacation. I can hardly wait for the quieter, more relaxed days of summer.
I have been concentrating on finishing all of the books I have for review so that I can read the books I have purchased this summer.
Last week I read:
A Civil Campaign by Lois McMaster Bujold is one of my favorite entries in the Vorkosigan series. I can't count the number of times I have read it. It is my book of choice whenever I need a comfort book. I love every carefully chosen word of this story.
When You Dare by Lori Foster was sent to me so that I could be part of her blog tour. This was an excellent romantic suspense story. My review will be posted on May 19.
I received Troubletwisters by Garth Nix and Sean Williams because of my participation in the Amazon Vine Program. It is the start of a new middle grade fantasy series. I liked the book and posted my review here.
In the Arms of Stone Angels by Jordan Dane was also an Amazon Vine book. I loved this young adult mystery story (with some paranormal elements). I couldn't put it down. My review will be posted on May 12.
I got Shine by Lauren Myracle from NetGalley. It was another excellent contemporary story about a girl who has to find out who attacked her best friend and left him for dead looking like the victim of a hate crime. My review will be posted on May 19.Dead by Midnight by Carolyn Hart is the latest in the Death on Demand series. I received it through Amazon Vine. I thought this was an excellent cozy mystery. My review will be posted on May 12.
I am currently reading (actually just going to start):
Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier -- the product description says: Gwyneth Shepherd's sophisticated, beautiful cousin Charlotte has been prepared her entire life for traveling through time. But unexpectedly, it is Gwyneth, who in the middle of class takes a sudden spin to a different era!
Gwyneth must now unearth the mystery of why her mother would lie about her birth date to ward off suspicion about her ability, brush up on her history, and work with Gideon--the time traveler from a similarly gifted family that passes the gene through its male line, and whose presence becomes, in time, less insufferable and more essential. Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust.
I am eager to begin this young adult time travel story.
Next week I plan to read:
- Dreamland Social Club by Tara Altebrando which I received from LibraryThing's Early Reviewer program.
- Mercy by Rebecca Lim which I got at NetGalley
- The Dark City #1: Relic Master by Catherine Fisher which I also received from LibraryThing's Early Reviewer program.
- Angel Burn by L. A. Weatherly which I received from NetGalley.
- No Place Like Holmes by Jason Lethcoe which is also from NetGalley.
- Awaken by Katie Kacvinsky which is still another book from NetGalley.
All of these books will be published in May.
That was my week. It was filled with excellent books. How did your week go?
Ruby Red sounds intriguing. I do hope you enjoy your vacation which is coming up.
