On My Wishlist: J D Robb and Lois McMaster Bujold

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where people list all the books they desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. It's also an event that you can join in with too - Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own 'On My Wishlist' post. If you want to know more click here.

November will be a great month. I am so eagerly anticipating books by two of my favorite authors.

Indulgence in Death is the 38th in the In Death series by J D Robb. Here is the product description (from Fantastic Fiction):
First it was a limo driver shot through the neck with a crossbow. Then it was a high-priced escort stabbed through the heart with a bayonet.

Random hits, thrill kills, murderers with a taste for the finer things in life - and death - are making NYPSD Lieutenant Eve Dallas angry. And an angry Eve can be just as an efficient and dangerous predator as the killer.

As time runs out on another innocent victim's life, Eve's investigation will take her into the rarified circle that her husband, Roarke, travels in - and into the perverted heart of madness..
I love the mysteries but even more I love seeing the relationship between Eve Dallas and Roarke (who has to be the sexiest hero in all of fiction).

I am also waiting for the final hardcover version of Cryoburn by Lois McMaster Bujold. Fans have been waiting eight years for the next Miles Vorkosigan book. Here is the product description from Amazon:
Miles Vorkosigan is back!

Kibou-daini is a planet obsessed with cheating death. Barrayaran Imperial Auditor Miles Vorkosigan can hardly disapprove—he’s been cheating death his whole life, on the theory that turnabout is fair play. But when a Kibou-daini cryocorp—an immortal company whose job it is to shepherd its all-too-mortal frozen patrons into an unknown future—attempts to expand its franchise into the Barrayaran Empire, Emperor Gregor dispatches his top troubleshooter Miles to check it out.

On Kibou-daini, Miles discovers generational conflict over money and resources is heating up, even as refugees displaced in time skew the meaning of generation past repair. Here he finds a young boy with a passion for pets and a dangerous secret, a Snow White trapped in an icy coffin who burns to re-write her own tale, and a mysterious crone who is the very embodiment of the warning Don’t mess with the secretary. Bribery, corruption, conspiracy, kidnapping—something is rotten on Kibou-daini, and it isn’t due to power outages in the Cryocombs. And Miles is in the middle—of trouble!
I have already read the eARC twice but I will eagerly read this again when the hardcover finally gets into my hands in November.

Did you see where Lois stated on her My Space blog that the hardback of Cryoburn has been moved up to an October 19th date?
I can't wait to download it and the JD Robb to my Kindle.
I have been trying to aviod spoilers about Cryoburn but have run across a number of comments from readers stating that they cried at the end -- I think I know why since Lois has infered a number of times where she might be headed. If so, I know that I will be blubbering along with everyone else at the end.
