Other Than Reading...
This was a nice week in the lead-up to Christmas. We had three days this week where the high temperature was above freezing. Tuesday's high was 43 degrees. This led to a lot of melting. Our solar panels are partially exposed for the first time since November 24. Later in the week the temperatures plummeted. When my brother and I went out Saturday the temperature was -5F and a really icy wind was blowing.

Thursday, we had misty rain in the morning and a flash freeze in the afternoon. My housecleaner stopped by at three only to tell me that she was heading home because of the really icy roads. By the time my brother got home from work in the evening, the ice was gone, and the winds had blown the roads dry. My cleaner will try to come again Monday or Tuesday.
This week will be pretty quiet. I do have to get up rather early to go in for some bloodwork on Monday. Otherwise, I don't have any plans. Our Christmas should be quiet with our traditional ham dinner. My brother bought the ingredients on Saturday since he works every day now until Christmas. We stocked up on Christmas cookies and candies when we were out on Saturday too.
I hope to get a chance to read the last of my January review copies this week. I may get sidetracked by audiobooks though.

I’m behind on reading and reviews as usual. I always admire those who keep to the schedule.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! That sounds like some cold temps with -5! We're looking to break a record with the hottest Christmas ever for St. Louis this year. Not looking forward to that as I wait all year long for some colder temps! I don't need snow, I just want 50s and 40s to snuggle in my sweatshirts! Lol.
ReplyDeleteNice line up of reads! I still need to read Chloe Neill's latest and I am so behind on Kelley Armstrong! Sarah Beth Durst's next YA looks intriguing! I hope you enjoy your reads for this week!
Here's my Monday Wrap-up
