The sun's rays slipped further behind the Bed Bath & Beyond sign across the parking lot.This innocent opening is followed by a trip to another dimension populated with Partials, Purebloods and the Fallen. Our heroine is a Partial (demon, that is) who is eager to find the Pureblood who kidnapped her cousin and killed her for her essence. But she has to work around the man she is attracted to and suspicious of at the same time.
Ooh, I like when a beginning seems sweet, innocent, simple...followed by a blast of something horrific or strange.
