Adult and YA Teasers (August 15, 2017)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Teaser on Inside of a Dog:
"Is anybody there?" he tried again.

No voice answered except the bitter howl of the wind. Cork finished clearing the snow and got into his Bronco. As an afterthought he locked the doors. He waited a moment before driving away, trying one last time to see if anything moved among the trees.

Because he could have sworn someone there had called his name.
Iron Lake by William Kent Kruger

Teaser on Ms. Martin Teaches Media:
At the same time I began to understand why Lady Cecily might have entered into correspondence with this young man. Beneath his bland exterior lay a great deal of intelligence and -- and some other, less definable qualities.
The Case of the Left-Handed Lady by Nancy Springer

  1. Iron Lake sounds creepy! I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by :)

  2. Ooh, already I'm worried about what might hiding in the trees, in Iron Lake. I like spooky, scary stories.

    Here's mine: “CRIME SCENE”

  3. They're both good teasers! Makes me want to read both of those books. My Teaser

  4. I really like the sound of The Case of the Left-Handed Lady - especially as I'm also a leftie:). My TT this week is a sci fi murder mystery -

  5. Iron Lake is going on my TBR list.
