In My Mailbox (Dec. 5, 2010)

The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.

I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the wonderful books everyone gets. You will discover lots of great blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.

I got these print books this week:
Foolproof by Barbara D'Amato, Jeanne M. Dams, and Mark Richard Zubro -- I am a fan of Zubro's mysteries and was searching to find out if he had a new book out or expected. I discovered that he had written this one a year ago with a couple of other mystery writers and I had missed it. The reviews are not good but I thought I would try it anyway. The price was right too. I got it from Amazon Marketplace for little more than the cost of shipping.

No Mercy by Sherrilyn Kenyon -- I have been longing for this book since it first came out but I couldn't face the initial hardcover price. I have liked all the Dark Hunter books that I have read but don't think I will ever read them again and I can't donate them to my usual outlets. But when the price dropped to half the list price, I decided that I didn't really need to wait for the paperback after all.

The Other Side by J. D. Robb [at al.] -- I really love everything that Nora Roberts writes as J. D. Robb. The other stories in this collection are just gravy. I am not familiar with the other authors but am hoping to find a new favorite mystery writer.

I also received these books for review this week:
I got Winter Wishes by Vivi Andrews, Vivian Arend and Moira Rogers from Carina Press via NetGalley. This trio of authors write erotic romance. I was eager to read these stories around a winter theme. I enjoyed all the stories. The ebook will be published on Dec. 6 and my review will be posted on Dec. 8.

Cassie from Tor/Forge contacted me to see if I would be willing to review Demon Song by Cat Adams. I read Blood Song and enjoyed it. She sent me Siren Song which I also read and enjoyed. I certainly couldn't pass up the next book in the series. Luckily, the book isn't out until March 1, 2011 so I have plenty of time to get to it. I'm excited to see how the story progresses. The cover was just released this week. Isn't it nicely creepy?

That was my mailbox this week. What did you get in yours?
