Stacking the Shelves (Dec. 2, 2012)

Tynga of Tynga's Reviews has a meme to spotlight the books we receive each week. Visit her site to check out the linky and see what everyone gets. I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow.

I have nine books to show off this week. This is two week's haul for me because I was away for Thanksgiving Break.

I bought these three print books:
Death by Petticoat by Mary Miley Theobald has been on my wishlist for quite a while. I have been waiting for a used book from Amazon Marketplace for a price I was willing to pay. This is a book with all sorts of trivia about things that people thought were true but which are not. It is the kind of book to pick up and read a random page or two in.

Cold Days by Jim Butcher is the latest in the Harry Dresden series. I have been reading this series since the beginning and had to get a copy as soon as it was released.

Steel's Edge by Ilona Andrews is the latest and last book in their Edge series. I like this series (though not as much as their Kate Daniels series) and had to get a copy to add to my stack.

I added three free or really cheap books to my Kindle this week too.
Blizzard Ball by Dennis Kelly was free. It takes place in Minnesota and is a mystery/thriller. There is something about a stolen lottery ticket too.

Heart of the Hunter by Lara Adrian was free too. I keep meaning to read something by her and now I have this one waiting on my Kindle.

Unexpected Christmas Hero by Kathi Macias was only $.99. It is supposed to be a heart-warming story. I thought it would be good if I want to read a Christmas story at this season.

Finally, I got three Amazon Books for review this week too:
Snow White Must Die by Nele Neuhaus is a mystery and an international bestseller.

Ever After by Kim Harrison is the latest in her Hollows series. I am a couple books behind and hope this one stands alone well as I likely won't have time to catch up before I need to read and review this one.

Dying to Tell by Rita Herron is a romantic suspense/thriller which is a genre I really enjoy.

I added a total of 20 books including 4 review books to my stack in November. What did you add to your stack?

  1. Nice! Envious of Kim's book! I think the only time I got an ARC of that was on Netgalley and I think it was Pale Demon!

    Here's my STS

  2. I haven't picked up Ilona Andrews' Edge series but I think it's fair to say I'm obsessed with their Kate Daniels books :-)

  4. Ah... I also got Cold Days by Jim Butcher and Steel's Edge by Ilona Andrews. I am now trying to read Cold Days as slowly as I can to savour it :)
