"Oh, damn!" said Lord Peter Wimsey at Piccadilly Circus. "Hi, driver!"
Friday 56:
Assigning a motive for the murder of a person without relations or antecedents or even clothes is like trying to visualize the fourth dimension - admirable exercise for the imagination, but arduous and inconclusive.
This week I am spotlighting a book I first read years ago. Whose Body? by Dorothy L. Sayers is the first book in the Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries. It was written in 1923. Here is the description from Amazon:
Lord Peter Wimsey investigates the sudden appearance of a naked body in the bath of an architect at the same time a noted financier goes missing under strange circumstances. As the case progresses, it becomes clear that the two events are linked in some way!
