It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.
I will be combining my YA and adult reading and purchases on this one weekly roundup.
Other Than Reading...
Letting everyone know what my week was like, let me say that the highlight of the week was my semi-annual dentist appointment to have my teeth cleaned. After that excitement, life went back to what is my new normal - staying home, reading and playing on my computer.
The baseball season which just began is in the final stretch before playoffs. So I have been spending some time watching my Atlanta Braves play ball. It does look like they will make the playoffs unless the go on a long losing streak. The will mean that I will have interesting baseball to watch for a couple of weeks longer.
The football season begins tomorrow and I do intend to watch my Minnesota Vikings play. Their first opponent is their rival Green Bay Packers. I haven't been reading anything about the team composition and so it will all be new to me when I watch on Sunday.
I am reading a lot of books from my review stack these days and also listening to old favorites from my Audible library.

If you can't wait until the review shows up on my blog, reviews are posted to LibraryThing and Goodreads as soon as I write them (usually right after I finish reading a book.)

I like the contemporary romance one. Need some lightness now! Football and baseball both fairly unknown to me! its only cricket in this part of the world.
ReplyDeleteLOL on the highlight of your week.
ReplyDeleteI guess we have to make the best of whatever gets us out of the house. :)
Lots of books to keep you busy.
Have a good week, Kathy.
Funny, that was probably my highlight of the week, too. Gosh, don't we have exciting lives?
ReplyDeleteThe hubby watched the Patriots yesterday. I was busy doing other things.
I was reading the description for Pretty Funny for a Girl. Not sure I would bother with that one. My daughters might like it. I'm eager to read your review for Murder on Cold Street.
Hope you have a nice week. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Funny how a dental cleaning can be a highlight of the week, but getting out can be that. Although I now prefer the staying home most of the time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week and your books, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I am still waiting to be called for my semi-annual dentist visit, we were in lockdown for awhile so I guess that put them behind a couple of months, but decided I'll phone next week to see. A new J. D. Robb is exciting, I didn't read Golden in Death so maybe should go there first.
ReplyDeleteMy highlight last week was I got a goody bag full of free samples when I picked up my groceries from Walmart. I was wondering how the Braves were doing. I don't watch sports but I usually see enough chatter from my friends on Facebook to stay in the know but I haven't seen anyone talking about the games.
ReplyDeleteOoh nice! Mostly new to me ones besides the usual Bishop and Briggs! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your reads for this week!
Here's my Monday Wrap-up
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
You know life is boring and stressful when a dentist appointment is the most exciting thing to happen. Enjoy your sports! I hope you have a good week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Lots of interesting covers and titles! "Pretty Funny for a Girl" - I would have had high hopes for that title especially!
ReplyDeleteDeception in Gaslight looks promising.
ReplyDeleteThe highlight of your week was a dental cleaning? We've sunk pretty low, haven't we?!
I hope you have a good week!
It's coming to something when a dental visit is a highlight of the week 🤣
ReplyDeleteIlona Andrews has been on my radar for a while - I definitely need to read her work.
Deception by Gaslight looks good! And the things that excite us these days. :) I am the same way!
ReplyDeleteHave a good one. :)
The Colleen Hayes Mystery series by Max Tomlinson sounds like one I would enjoy. Watching sport on TV is one of the simple pleasures in life. Enjoy your reading week!
ReplyDeleteReading your reviews of the Patricia Briggs books makes me want to reread them all. And I've been diving back into the depths of the JD Robbs and looking forward to the new one.
ReplyDeleteThe upside of a boring week means that you have time to read :) And there's some really great books there! The Emperor's Wolves, I loved it, I hope you enjoyed it, as well! Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!
