Friday Memes: Saddled with Murder by Eileen Brady

 Happy Friday everybody!

"Who wants a slice of litter box cake?" With that provocative question the Oak Falls Animal Hospital Christmas party shifted into overdrive.
Friday 56:
Person after person described a Raeleen I hadn't met. Most of her friends also worked with animals. A number of employees from the local rescue group recounted how dedicated the deceased had been in helping care for feral and abandoned animals.
This week I am spotlighting Saddled with Murder by Eileen Brady. I found this eARC at Edelweiss. Here is the description from Amazon:

First in a new vet books mystery series, perfect for fans of cozy mysteries by Miranda James and Leann Sweeney!

Veterinarian and amateur sleuth Kate Turner has her hands full trying to juggle two boyfriends, a thriving practice, and a criminal investigation

It's the Christmas season and veterinarian Kate Turner is not feeling very jolly. She's overworked, unappreciated, and dealing with two dissatisfied clients. Throw in a very complicated personal life and Kate's definitely got a case of the holiday blues.

To make matters worse, Kate's ex-boyfriend, Jeremy, is mugged and robbed after they have a heated argument in the hospital parking lot. Then, two of her dissatisfied clients turn up dead (which really gets Kate's tinsel in a tangle). All of these events seem like coincidences, but they add up to something much more venomous.

Saddled with Murder is a cozy holiday mystery from beloved author Eileen Brady that explores the fragility and resiliency of animals and humans whose trust has been broken, and will keep animal-loving readers riveted until the last page.

  1. I have enjoyed books by this author. Thanks for sharing, and here's mine: “THE TRUTH ABOUT MELODY BROWNE”

  2. Thank you for sharing this!! I am so interested in this one after reading the synopsis! I am checking it out now. Hope you enjoy it!
    Here's my Post

  3. Litterbox cake? Ew... LOL
    Happy weekend!

  4. Kitty Litter cake looks disgusting, but it's so good. LOL It's a popular Halloween treat for office parties here. Well, not this year because there won't be an office party, but someone has always made it and brought it in the past.

I love animals in cozies and a vet mystery to boot! This sounds like something I would like. Especially these days. I hope you love this one, Kathy.

    Have a great weekend!

  5. Sounds great, except for the Litter Box cake. lol

My post is here. If you like please give me a follow.

  6. Oh, no! Not her tinsel in a tangle. LOL Sounds like just the sort of book I'm in the mood for lately. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
