It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.
I will be combining my YA and adult reading and purchases on this one weekly roundup.
Other Than Reading...
The highlight of my week was watching the Atlanta Braves win their first World Series since 1995. I've been a fan since the 1980s despite only visiting Atlanta one time (we saw a game which included a rain delay!). When I got Cable TV back then, the games were broadcast on TBS - the Superstation - and I became a fan. Now I'm counting down the days until Spring Training 2022.
I got my Covid booster shot on Thursday. My first two doses were Moderna. This one was Phizer. I had no difficult side effects. I had a headache the night of the vaccination but that could have been from too much screen time instead of the shot.
After a cool, rainy start to the week, this weekend is seeing higher than normal temperatures and lots of sunshine. Of course, higher than normal for my part of Minnesota at this time of the year means the temperature gets to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. At noontime on Saturday as I am writing this, the temperature is 55 degrees. If I had any ambition, I'd go outside for what could be my last outdoor walk until Spring.

ReplyDeleteNothing done by halves in this country.
We got our boosters a few weeks back. All our shots were Pfizer. I like the look of those cozies -- I need to get back to some of my series.
ReplyDeleteI see several Jayne Ann Krentz books that I want to check out.
ReplyDeleteI also got my booster this past week. All of my shots were Pfizer, and no side effects that I noticed.
Enjoy your week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
Congratulations to your team! That is always exciting. I remember when the Red Sox broke their losing streak.
ReplyDeleteIt is warmer here today. If I had time I would wrap up the few garden things I have left to do, but I am packing for San Diego and cooking so that family has food while I am gone.
So many of your books look like good reads. I am especially drawn to the cozy mysteries, but I doubt that surprises you.
Hope you have a nice week. Thanks for visiting my blog today.
Lots of nice looking books.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and thanks for stopping by my blog.
Congrats to the Braves. Although my team didn't get out of the playoffs, I was rooting for yours.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your books and have a great week!
What Lies Beneath looks good.

My hubby gets the booster this Sunday. I'll have to wait tho. Lots of great books - so many look to be interesting. Will check them out. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteIt's been warm here too! We've had a fabulous weekend and today was in the 60's. Who are you, Michigan? lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the World series!!!
Congratulations to you and the Braves! My husband is a Marlins fan (I know) but only rarely watches baseball. He watched a couple of the World Series games, including the last two. I thought of you as soon as they won!
ReplyDeleteWe barely crept into the 50s here in SC over the weekend and my husband and I froze to death. We've gotten spoiled by following the good weather for the past few years!
Enjoy your week!
Congrats to your Braves... thought of you the night they won. Glad you had an easy time with the booster, too. Hope you enjoy your books this week.
ReplyDeleteYay, for your team winning the World Series! It is has been nice to have extended time to walk outdoors!
ReplyDeleteYou always have so many intriguing books listed in your posts! I order Matt Coyle's books for the library I work at, but don't hear much about him/them! Will have to try the series so I can suggest it to people.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog yesterday! (I'm doing my Monday bloghopping on Tuesday again!)
Congratulations to your Atlanta Braves! They beat out my two favorite teams, Houston and Boston.
