In My Mailbox (April 4, 2010)

The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.

I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the cool books everyone gets. You will discover lots of wonderful blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.

I added quite a few books to my Kindle this week.

These were all free. Rides a Dread Legion by Raymond E. Feist is the first in a fantasy series. I have never read the author. A free book is a good way to decide if I like an author or a series.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by "Jane Austen" was available. I had purchased a copy of the book and donated it to the HS Media Center before I read it because one of my students was interested in reading it. I knew it would sit on my TBR stack for quite a while. Now I have a copy that can sit on my Kindle until I find time (or desire) to read it. I also downloaded a copy of Pride and Prejudice because I don't have a copy and have never read it.

I bought A Certain Wolfish Charm by Lydia Dare which is the first in a new series - a historical romance with werewolves!

I also bought Beyond the Darkness by Alexandra Ivy. I find that this is #6 in the series. I have the first three on my TBR stack. I don't know what I was thinking. I hate reading a series out of order. Maybe I was seduced by the really cool cover.

I also added a couple of romances to my Kindle. What the Librarian Did by Karina Bliss sounded cute. I do like books about librarians.

Flirting with Forever by Gwyn Cready is a time travel romance that sounded like a fun read.

I also added some print books this week.

Even by Andrew Grant is a thriller. I thought it sounded really good. I like to read a thriller on occasion as a change of pace to all the paranormal I read.

Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs is the much-anticipated fifth book in the Mercy Thompson series. I want to read this soon. I am planning to attend a book signing with Patricia Briggs on April 10. I have 17 of her books to get autographed.

Succubus Shadows by Richelle Mead is the next in the Georgina Kincaid series. I have been enjoying this series while waiting for the next installment in her YA series.

That was what I got. What was in your mailbox?
