Friday Memes: Rock, Saber, Scissors by Dawn Dugle

 Happy Friday everybody!

Book Beginnings on Friday is hosted by Rose City ReaderThe Friday 56 is hosted at Freda's Voice. Check out the links above for the rules and for the posts of the participants each week. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

Beginning:
The car swerved, and my stomach lurched. I was in danger of losing my religion. Or maybe just my breakfast. It was a toss-up at this point.
Friday 56:
Detective Rosenthal scrambled to his feet and held out his business card. "Ms. Cruz, don't leave town. You are still a person of interest in this case."
This week I am spotlighting a recent addition to my TBR pile. I got Rock, Saber, Scissors by Dawn Dugle for free using a BookBub deal in September. Here's the description from Amazon:
A serial killer picked the wrong single mom to frame for murder.

My name is Celia Saber, and I need one more thing on my to-do list, like I need a hole in the head. I already work 60 hours a week and clean up life messes from my adult twin sons.
Now - I'm the prime suspect in my ex-husband's murder.

To clear my name - I need help from my sexy summer fling who looks like The Rock's body double. The last time I saw Flint Mendota? I acted like a brazen hussy, then ghosted him.

Fun!

We might get a second chance at romance during a road trip from hell. But when a serial killer has you in their sights, dating over 40 can be deadly.
