It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (Dec. 14, 2020)

It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.

It’s Monday!  What Are You Reading is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week.  It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

I will be combining my YA and adult reading and purchases on this one weekly roundup.

Other Than Reading...

Wow! Another week has gone by and absolutely nothing has happened. I didn't even get out of the house for a trip to the grocery store this past week.

I am making pretty good progress on my January review books and some audiobooks that I recently added to my collection. My current listen isn't very exciting though and I'm tempted to set it aside for something else. However, I'm a third of the way through it which is later than I usually abandon a book. Maybe I'll play some computer games and give it another hour in the hope that the action will pick up.

Read Last Week

If you can't wait until the review shows up on my blog, reviews are posted to LibraryThing and Goodreads as soon as I write them (usually right after I finish reading a book.)
  • Deep Into the Dark by P. J. Tracy (Review; Jan. 12) - Author of the Monkeewrench series starts a new series with new characters set in LA. My review will be posted on January 6.
  • Neogenesis by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller (Audiobook) - reread of a favorite
  • Accepting the Lance by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller (Audiobook) - reread of a favorite
  • A Curious Incident by Vicki Delany (Review; Jan. 12) - This is the sixth in the Gemma Doyle cozy mystery series and was an excellent addition to the series. My review will be posted on January 7.
  • The Bone Jar by SW Kane (Kindle/Audiobook) - British mystery that introduces a new detective. It was nicely twisty and told from multiple viewpoints. The narration was engaging but the various British accents had me looking to my Kindle copy to make sure I understood what was happening. My review will be posted on January 12.

  1. I also barely left the house last week. It snowed too much, and I don’t want to be around other people. Have a great week!

  3. At least by not leaving the house you are staying safe and well. It looks like you have a really great selection of books to read. I hope the audiobook improves for you. Happy reading.

  4. I am feeling the same - did I leave the house last week? I am not sure? I have to go up to the drugstore and do the drive thru pick up for meds later, and I am dragging my feet. I guess I have grown roots here in my house this month!

  9. Looks like you're going through all of Susanna Kearsley's books. I don't remember if I read The Shadowy Horses. I know I've read most of her books but I've missed a few.

  10. Sometimes nothing happening in a week can be a good thing :) I haven't been doing very much either. I like the looks of your books especially the Vicki Delany one. Enjoy and have a great week!

  12. Oh, darn! I didn't realize the new PJ Tracy wasn't going to be a Monkeewrench book. Boo hoo! Well, I love the Monkeewrench books, so I'll definitely be giving her new series a try!
I was very late with my Monday post yesterday, and am late with my blog visits, too.
